SESSION: KILL PERFORMANCE FOR ALL

Mr. Andreas Storsve, Director of R&D at Aker BioMarine will present the session Kill performance for all. Krill is rich in long-chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which have been found to boost performance and reduce inflammation. There is scientific evidence on the benefits of krill across the three species when it comes to performance. Humans, dogs and salmon performance can benefit from krill, with their daily feats of biking, running and swimming endurance increasing their muscle growth, recovery and fish flesh quality. The results are related, and we need to start looking at the evidence and finding ways to share it as a story telling.

SPEAKER: ABDEL-FATTAH EL-SAYED

Professor Abdel-Fattah El-Sayed received his PhD in aquaculture (Tilapia Nutrition) from Michigan State University, USA in 1987. He is currently a professor in the Oceanography Department, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University, Egypt. Dr El-Sayed has authored and co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed publications on aquaculture and fisheries. He has participated in many local, regional, and international aquaculture and fisheries research projects.
