Abu Dhabi Hosts the Fifth Edition of VIV MEA 2025 for Animal Production

The capital Abu Dhabi will host the fifth edition of VIV MEA – Middle East and Africa for Animal Production, the world’s leading exhibition for livestock development, dairy, poultry and egg production, from 25 to 27 November 2025 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

VIV MEA is recognised as the foremost global trade and knowledge platform for the farm-to-table supply chain. The exhibition brings together more than 500 international and regional exhibitors across an area exceeding 18,000 square metres, and attracts over 10,000 specialists and visitors from 130 countries worldwide. It is the region’s most significant event for discussing the future of animal protein production and advancing food innovation.

The exhibition will showcase the latest solutions and technologies in meat, poultry, egg, aquaculture and dairy production, alongside precision agriculture, smart food production systems, plant-based protein innovations, organic food concepts, sustainable water and energy management, and pest control. It also serves as a vital platform for business networking and the exchange of expertise among industry leaders, researchers and investors.

Organised by VNU Europe, the event hosts leading global exhibitors presenting advanced solutions in controlled-environment livestock production, precision farming and smart food technologies. Key themes include nutritional value enhancement, health improvement, yield optimisation, development of organic food systems, pest management, and the efficient use of water and energy—reinforcing VIV MEA’s standing as a global hub for innovation and sustainability in the food sector.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) is participating in VIV MEA 2025 with a dedicated pavilion presenting its flagship projects and programmes in food security, animal health, veterinary laboratory services, modern farming systems, and smart technologies for food production. The pavilion provides visitors with an opportunity to explore ADAFSA’s latest solutions to enhance the sustainability of the agricultural and food sectors, as well as its initiatives supporting farmers and livestock breeders.

ADAFSA experts will also deliver scientific presentations during the accompanying conference, addressing topics such as improving poultry farm productivity, strengthening animal health systems, enhancing feeding strategies, and ensuring food safety and quality—reflecting the Authority’s leading role in knowledge dissemination and international collaboration.

The conference features an intensive three-day programme of sessions and scientific seminars. Its agenda covers key themes including animal protein production, innovation in breeding and production systems, veterinary health, modern precision agriculture technologies, sustainability solutions in water and energy management, and organic food concepts.

Specialised sessions will address poultry product marketing, workshops on ventilation and hatchery management, and seminars on agriculture and agri-food innovation, providing a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange and discussion of future trends in livestock and food production.

ADAFSA affirmed that VIV MEA represents a significant opportunity to review global best practices, adopt advanced technologies in animal production, and increase sector-wide awareness of agricultural sustainability.

The Authority added that Abu Dhabi’s hosting of VIV MEA underscores the capital’s position as a leading global destination for major international events, and reinforces its role as a regional and international hub for food security and sustainable agriculture. Hosting the exhibition enables the Emirate to showcase its expertise in building an integrated food system and provides a valuable platform for knowledge exchange with leading experts and decision-makers from around the world.

The event further supports innovation, encourages the adoption of modern technologies in animal production and precision farming, and opens the door to new partnerships that enhance the competitiveness of local products and support sustainable development goals—strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a centre of excellence in the agri-food sector.

ADAFSA invited all livestock and poultry production professionals, breeders and researchers to participate in VIV MEA, as it is a good opportunity for commercial communication, sharing knowledge and experience, discussing future standards in animal protein production, and learning about the latest technologies in the field.
